The Icepack traveled up 95 to take on Virginia foes UVA and Richmond and came away with a weekend sweep. The pair of wins put the Pack at 20 wins in back to back years for the first time in program history sends them into their bye week with winners of 15 straight.
The Icepack takes to the road this weekend playing UVA Friday night and Richmond Saturday after an electrifying weekend in Raleigh. The Icepack have moved up to #4 in the Southeast Rankings after sweeping Delaware and putting away UNC with a combined 23 goals over the three games. The Pack have now won thirteen in a row and clinched the Carolina East Division with their win over UNC.
The NC State club hockey team, Icepack, extended its winning streak to 13 consecutive games in a 9-3 rout against UNC-Chapel Hill at PNC Arena Monday night.
The Icepack (15-3) return to Raleigh this weekend with three games in four nights, starting with Southeast Region Rival, University of Delaware on Friday and Saturday, followed by ancient rival, UNC on Monday night. Saturday’s game is also youth hockey night featuring a family friendly 5:30 PM start time at Raleigh Center Ice. Any youth hockey player wearing their jersey is free with a paid adult!
