The Icepack have announced Eric Todd ('21) as Captain and Cam Mazikowski ('21) and Chris Solomon ('23) as Assistant Captains for the upcoming campaign.
Todd (Holly Springs, NC, Business Administration) will be entering into his fourth campaign with the Icepack and will be in his second year wearing a letter. He's noted as a premier penalty killer in the ACCHL, and has developed into a quality off ice leader. He finished the 2019-2020 season with career highs in goals, assists, and points (13-15-28). "Todd never gets outworked on or off the ice," said head coach Tim Healy. "He is the ultimate team first player and sets the tone on and off the ice for the team to follow." Mazikowski (Waxhaw, NC, Engineering) will be entering into his fourth season. Mazikowski earned the ACCHL rookie of the year award in his first season with the Icepack, and a steady Top 4 defenseman. With a career high in points last year (23) has established himself as a vocal leader on and off the ice. "Cam's voice is huge on this team." said Coach Healy. "He knows when to lighten the mood or push the team. He's also is a great mentor for young players like Victor Hugo last year." Solomon (Clayton, NC, Business Administration) took home the ACC Rookie of the Year award this past season. He led the Pack in scoring with 49 points (26-23-49). As the season progressed, Solomon became an integral leader with his on ice production and off ice leadership. "Chris got the team going on game days and is a real positive force," said Coach Healy. "He wants to win and will do whatever it takes to help the team achieve its goals." The Icepack are members of the Atlantic Coast Collegiate Hockey League and play in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. The Icepack are an independent club hockey team at NC State and a registered 501 c3 non-Profit.
