Icepack Returns With Fall Slate

The Icepack are returning to the ice with a four game Fall season.  The highlight being the Icepack's first foray into ACHA Division I competition as the Pack travels to Liberty on October 23rd.  The Pack then travel back to Liberty for a three game set on November 5th, 6th and 7th.  The first two nights will be ACHA DII openers against Liberty with a Sunday matinee against ACCHL Carolina East Division Newcomer, Coastal Carolina.

According to Coach Healy the four games fit in perfectly with his goals for hockey in 2020 before the calendar turns to 2021; "After winter break the season is going to be a sprint, a lot like a college baseball season.  We are using the Fall similar to how a college baseball team does.  We are putting in systems, figuring out rolls and getting prepared for a sprint.  Our schedule in January and February is going to be compact before we hit tournament play in March and April.  We need to be prepared out of the gate.  This Fall season is allowing us to be ahead of a lot of teams."

Another first for the the Icepack will be an appearance on ESPN.  The October 23rd tilt vs. Liberty will be broadcast nationally on ESPN 3.  The Winter 2021 schedule is being redone and will be announced shortly.  The Icepack are currently slated to kickoff 2021 with a pair of home games vs. Louisville on January 8th and 9th on PackTV.
