Tryouts for the 2026-2027 Icepack Hockey Club Team will take place across four days this August at Wake Competition Center in Morrisville, NC. The final roster will have approximately 27 players (~15 forwards, ~9 defensemen, ~3 goalies), though final counts may vary depending on talent trying out.
- All players MUST submit a signed liability waiver prior to tryouts in order to be eligible to test.
- Players with outstanding Summer Skate Session dues must settle debts prior to tryouts to be considered for a roster spot.

Tryouts for the 2026-2027 Icepack Hockey Club will take place over four days, starting on Monday, August 17th.
The final roster will have approximately 27 players (~15 forwards, ~9 defensemen, ~3 goaltenders), though final counts may vary depending on eligible talent trying out.
Signed copies of the Liability Waiver must be presented prior to testing -- please bring a physical copy with you, or email a digital copy to [email protected] . Players will not be allowed to participate in the tryout process without an accompanying signed Liability Waiver. The Liability Waiver can be found here.
First cuts will be announced Friday, 8/21 by 2pm, with the final roster being announced Sunday, 8/23. Tryout fees will not be refunded if a player is cut. Players who are offered a roster spot will have half of their tryout fee applied toward season tuition. Tryout registration closes at 4pm, Monday 8/17/2026 (two hours prior to the beginning of off-ice testing).

- Monday, 8/17 at 6:30pm -- Off-ice testing, combining Anthropometric measurements, Physical Power, Top Speed, Unilateral Explosiveness, Lateral Quickness, Body Strength Multiples and Speed Endurance components.
- Wednesday, 8/19 at 10:15pm -- On-ice session #1, combining a blend of technical, tactical, positional, compete level and conditioning components.
- Thursday, 8/20 at 4:15pm -- On-ice session #2, combining a blend of technical, tactical, positional, compete level and conditioning components.
- Saturday, 8/22 at 6:30pm -- Final Session
