Tryout Registrations Now open

RALEIGH, N.C. — Seven Summer Skate Sessions later, and Tryouts are officially on the horizon.

Over the last five weeks, players, prospects, and alumni were welcomed out to Wake Competition Center to train with new Head Coach, Nagib Ward, and the returning coaching staff, Eric Mura and Alex Rossetto. In addition to a few special guest coaches, skaters were given a sneak peek at future systems while showing off their compete level and hockey IQ. Now that preparations are complete, registration for the four-day tryout is available. 

Skaters interested in playing for the Icepack must pay for a registration slot by Monday, 8/17/2026. Players must settle any outstanding Summer Skate payments to be considered for a roster position. Off-ice tryouts will be conducted that evening, with three on-ice tryout sessions on the Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday following. The first cut will be announced Friday, 8/21/2026 by 2pm. Tryout Registration 2026-2027

$300.00

Tryouts for the 2026-2027 Icepack Hockey Club Team will take place across four days this August at Wake Competition Center in Morrisville, NC. The final roster will have approximately 27 players (~15 forwards, ~9 defensemen, ~3 goalies), though final counts may vary depending on talent trying out.

• All players MUST submit a signed liability waiver prior to tryouts in order to be eligible to test.
• Players with outstanding Summer Skate Session dues must settle debts prior to tryouts to be considered for a roster spot.
