Raleigh, NC — NC State Icepack, one of the premier programs in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Swiss sports technology company 49ing to bring elite-level video analysis and AI-powered development tools to its team operations.
Through this collaboration, NC State will implement 49ing’s 360° performance platform, delivering real-time video breakdowns, automated analytics, coaching insights, and player development systems—resources traditionally reserved for NCAA and professional programs. “This is a huge step forward for our program and for ACHA hockey overall,” said NC State Head Coach Tim Healy. “The ACHA continues to grow in competitiveness and quality, and this partnership gives us the kind of cutting-edge tools that help players reach the next level. For us, it's about providing our guys with the resources to develop, improve, and compete every day. 49ing is making that possible.” The 49ing platform enhances all areas of team operations—from film and practice analysis to individualized feedback and statistical tracking—allowing coaches to make data-driven decisions and giving players greater ownership of their performance and growth. “We’re excited to partner with a program like NC State,” said Andreas Hanni, CEO of 49ing. “Coach Healy and his staff are development-focused and forward-thinking. They understand how technology can drive performance. Our goal is to support that vision—not just at NC State, but across the ACHA—by making elite tools more accessible and impactful.” This partnership marks another step in NC State’s continued commitment to raising the bar in collegiate club hockey, reflecting the ACHA’s growing visibility and credibility on the national stage. “For years, ACHA teams have operated without the same resources as NCAA programs,” added Healy. “But with platforms like 49ing, that gap is closing. It’s a game-changer for programs that are committed to doing things the right way and raising the standard of play year after year.” The partnership will be fully implemented in time for the start of the 2025–26 season.
