Icepack prepare to face virginia tech after overtime loses to liberty

The NC State Icepack were unable to pull out a win against Liberty in the back to back matches, falling first in a shootout and then in overtime the following game. ​

NC State started out the weekend matchup strong, leading Liberty 2-1 for the majority of the match. However, a late goal would take the game to an overtime where neither team was able to score, leading to the eventual Liberty victory in a 5 round shootout. The second game was a higher scoring affair, with Icepack captain Zach Herman recording a hat trick before the end of the second period. Even with the hat trick, Liberty would score 3 unanswered to tie up the game 4-4 and send it to overtime. Liberty would then score just over two minutes into the overtime and win the game.

The Icepack prepare for another back to back matchup this coming weekend, this time against Virginia Tech. They will play at Invisalign Arena on January 24th, and at Virginia Tech on the 25th.
