RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State opens play in the second semester with three games in three days on an away trip to North Dakota.
The Icepack enters the weekend coming off a dominant 7-0 win over rival UNC in the Governor’s Cup to close the first semester. NC State will face No. 10 University of Mary twice and No. 6 University of Jamestown once, carrying a 13-5-1 record into the second half of the season. The first two games will be played at the Starion Sports Complex in Bismarck, N.D. The University of Mary closed the semester with high-scoring wins of 13-3 and 9-2 over Dakota College of Bottineau. The Icepack has faced the Marauders twice, losing both matchups in 2021 and 2022. The University of Mary goes into the weekend with a 16-7-1 record. NC State will close out the trip in Jamestown before flying home. The Jimmies are 14-10-1 on the season and ranked No. 6 in ACHA Division 1. The Icepack will be looking to deliver its best performance at Wilson Arena. The University of Mary and the University of Jamestown have met three times this season, with the Jimmies winning two of those contests. The University of Jamestown’s final games of the semester came against the University of Mary, with each team taking home a win. The Icepack will play at 7 p.m. CDT on Saturday and 2 p.m. CDT on Sunday in Bismarck before closing the trip with a 3 p.m. CDT puck drop in Jamestown on Monday. Games against the Marauders and the Jimmies can be streamed on the NSIC Network.
