The Icepack returns home to play the University of South Carolina Gamecocks at 9:00 PM this Friday. After a highly successful weekend, the Icepack improved their record to 4-0 on the season with back to back wins on the road against Rowan University. They plan to continue their undefeated streak against the Gamecocks, returning home for the first of a nine game home stretch. The Gamecocks also come undefeated into this game, with an impressive 5-0 record so far. With two wins over Alabama and UNC Chapel Hill, as well as a win over Georgia, this is expected to be a very competitive match-up. NC State also plans to honor the 2018-2019 Icepack team on the 5th anniversary of their incredible 22-0 regular season year, as well as their dominant run to nationals. The Icepack have not had a 4-0 start to a season since this 2018-2019 team, until this season.

The NC State Icepack continued their undefeated streak with two road wins over Rowan University on Friday and Saturday. With these two victories, NC State’s record improves to 4-0 on the season, the first time since the 2018-2019 season. The Icepack's playing 11 new skaters this weekend made the sweep especially sweet. The NC State Icepack continues their three-game road stretch with a trip to Sewell, New Jersey, to take on the Rowan University Profs in back-to-back games on September 20th and 21st.  Coming off of a close fought victory over Virginia Tech last Friday, NC State hopes to continue their hot 2-0 season start. The Profs have a 1-1 record so far on the season, starting with a 9-2 loss to The University of Delaware's M1 team, followed by a close 4-3 victory over Saint Joe’s University.
NC State plans to continue with the same top line of Daniel Prazma, Captain Zach Herman, and Brooks Willoughby-Ray, which has a combined 9 points between the three players so far on the season. Icepack Forwards Scott Daniel, Jake Gifford, and Reece Johnson are all expected to return to the lineup as well for the first of the back to back games. The game Friday will be played at 7:30 PM, and the Saturday game will be played at 8:00 PM Hollydell Ice Arena. (Vinton, VA) - The NC State Icepack picked up their second of the season with a 3-2 victory on the road against the Virginia Tech Hokies in their first game. The Icepack started hot out the gate, getting lots of pucks to the net, resulting in Junior Austin Finch recording his first goal of the season. Following that goal, NC State had trouble staying out of the box, leading to two Virginia Tech power play goals, both coming from Hokies captain Gavin Peduzzi. Quickly after the second power play goal from the Hokies, The Icepack’s Nick Shook was able to turn the tables with an unassisted power play goal of his own, tying the game 2-2. Less than 30 seconds after Shook's goal, Freshman defenseman Tait Sawden gave the Icepack the lead once again with a powerful shot from the blue line, recording his first goal of the season off a feed from Freshmen, Brayden Strong.
