Summer Skates Underway

RALEIGH, N.C. — As the Summer months draw to a close, the boys are taking the ice again to prepare for the upcoming season. To facilitate the change in coaching systems, Head Coach Nagib Ward began offering Summer Skate Sessions. Recent players, alumni skaters and prospective players -- ranging from current NC State students to U18AAA/Prep students, and invitees -- ran drills to shake off the cobwebs.

"Our players have serious ambitions, and we look forward to putting exciting, quality hockey on the ice for our fans to see," Ward said. Last Thursday's skate marked the first of the Summer Sessions, which will continue until tryouts begin. Ice time with Coach Ward can be purchased below. Summer Skates are scheduled from 9:30PM to 10:45PM on the Black Rink at Wake Competition Center on Thursdays in July (7/23 and 7/30). In August, Summer Skates will be Wednesday and Thursdays from 9:30PM to 10:45PM until the week of tryouts.

• Summer Skates in August will be Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:45pm-10:45pm leading up until tryouts.
