Nagib Ward - Head Coach

Nagib Ward assumed the head coach role ahead of the 2026-27 season. ​Originally from Evian-les-Bains, France, he grew up playing hockey in France and Switzerland, and came up through the Genève-Servette program. He went on to play collegiately in Minnesota, followed by professional and semi-professional hockey for the Flammes Bleues de Reims, Brûleurs de Loups of Grenoble, and the Pingouins de Morzine-Avoriaz.

​After returning to the United States, Ward built a career as a biochemist and executive. He founded Direct Impact Hockey to support players working toward collegiate and professional opportunities.

Ward holds a BSc in Mathematics and Physiology, an MSc in Biochemistry from Northern Michigan University, and an MBA from Marquette University. He holds several U.S. and international patents, and is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.

Eric Mura - Assistant Coach

Eric Mura has served as the Assistant/Defensive Coach since 2020, after playing defense for the Icepack from 2017-2019 while enrolled at NC State. Mura played an instrumental role in the 2018-2019 season and was named the 2019 ACCHL Tournament MVP after winning the Championship that year. Mura holds a Bachelors in Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Masters of Architecture from NC State University.

Dwight Collinson - Assistant Coach

Dwight Collinson joined the coaching staff ahead of the 2026-2027 season. Originally from Ontario, Canada, Collinson is a USA Hockey certified level 5 ice hockey coach and has coaching for the Raleigh Youth Hockey Association/ Jr. Hurricanes organization since 2008. Through his work as a CFO, Collinson also brings in key finance and accounting acumen for the betterment of the program. Collinson holds a Bachelors of Business Management from Northwood University and an MSc in Accounting from Walsh University. 

Veera Marjomaa - Assistant Coach

Veera Marjomaa joined the coaching staff ahead of the 2026-2027 season. Originally from Finland, Marjomaa played NCAA DIII (W) hockey at SUNY Buffalo State University in New York and Hood College in Maryland.

Wade Tulk - Assistant Coach

Wade Tulk joined the coaching staff ahead of the 2026-27 season. Originally from Ontario, Tulk played NCAA DII (M) hockey for the Huntsville Chargers -- even winning a National Championship title in 1995-96 (24-0-3). Tulk holds a BA in French, English and International Business from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Alex Rossetto - Goaltending coach

Alex Rossetto has served as the Goaltending Coach since 2016, bringing over two decades of coaching experience and technical development. Rossetto runs the 919 Goaltending Program, helping to develop future prep school, collegiate and professional goaltenders. Rossetto holds a BS in Management Information Systems and Data Networking from Liberty University. 

Jess Tart - Head Equipment Manager

Jess Tart has served as the Head Equipment Manager since 2020, after goaltending for three seasons between 2016-2020 while enrolled at NC State. Tart also has worked the Lenovo Center NHL visitor's side for several years, and brings professional experience into the Locker Room. Tart holds a BS and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from NC State University.

Rick Daniel - General Manager

Rick Daniel assumed the role of General Manager ahead of the 2026-2027 season, bringing years of business acumen through his work with Carolina Amateur Hockey Association and the Poole College of Management.

Kaydee Gawlik - Director of Creative and Marketing

Kaydee Gawlik has served as the Director of Creative and Marketing Services since 2025, bringing over a decade of in-industry freelance, small business and non-profit experiences. Gawlik holds a BA from NC State University.
